Microsoft Office 365 Education
What is Office 365 Education?
Microsoft Office 365 Education is a service that enables access to a suite of Office 365 online cloud products, as well as download and install of the full Office Productivity Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and more. The download can be made available on up to 5 personal devices.
Eligibility
All active students, faculty and staff are eligible for the online version of Office 365 and the full Office Productivity Suite.
Faculty Emeritus are eligible for the online version of Office 365. They may also subscribe for the downloadable Productivity Suite with a 30% discount at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/workplace-discount-program

To gain access to Microsoft Office 365 Education, please log in at office.sovab-presse.com using your NetID credentials.
If you are unable to access your Microsoft Office 365 account, please go to the NetID Password Manager in order to reset your NetID password.
Your Microsoft 365 Education account will be terminated at the same time as your NetID. The account termination guidelines for the NetID accounts can be found on our Access, Accounts and Password Guidelines page. At the time of account deletion, all data and information stored in the cloud service will no longer be accessible or recoverable.
Faculty and staff are reminded to review Policy #860 Information Security before storing data in cloud services, including any Microsoft 365 Education product. Microsoft 365 Education may be used only for materials and information that are not Confidential, including HIPAA, FERPA, PHI or other similar regulations. Prior to use, please review the posted Security Information.
Oakland University provides Microsoft 365 as a service, which includes applications and services that can be installed and configured on personal devices. Please be aware that when Microsoft 365 is installed on a personal device, personal data may become integrated with university-managed data. As a result, such data may no longer remain solely confined to your personal device and is subject to university policies, security measures, and potential auditing.
Although Oakland University provides Microsoft 365 for installation on personal devices, employees are required to ensure that installation and use comply with the university's Remote Work Guidance. All users are encouraged to review Microsoft guidance on configuring default storage options.
Microsoft provides free Office 365 training on their Office Training Center.
